If you have responses for a Question, and you would like to update the configuration for this question moving forward, you can do this by creating multiple Question Active Periods

What we will do is draw a line in the sand, so we keep prior responses while update the Frequency and/or Business Units assigned moving forward.

To find out which progress updates have already been completed, press the Related Progress Updates link (shown below). The ones in green have been done and the ones in orange have not.

Let's look at the below two examples

➡️I want to change the Frequency that we're asking a Question, for future periods

Sometimes you might need to update the Periods (when and how often) that you are asking your Questions, after you have already received some responses from your Business Units that you would like to keep.

You can do this by:

1️⃣Close off the existing Question Period, which will have the previous Frequency (see below).

Closing it off simply means setting the 'To' month to the month that you want it to end. This will be the month that the last response was entered (so we don't delete it)

This will allow us to draw a line in the sand, so that moving forward we apply a different Frequency

2️⃣ Add a new Question Period with the new Frequency that will apply moving forward.

So, the 'From' date will be after the end of the previous Period and the 'To' date will be when you want to stop asking this question to your Business Units.

➡️I want to assign Business Units, for future periods, that are different to those that have responded to a Question

Sometimes you might need to update the Business Unit assigned to respond to a Question moving forward, after you have already received some responses from your Business Units that you would like to keep.

You can do this by:

1️⃣Close off the existing Question Period, which will have the previous Business Unit assigned (see below).

Closing it off simply means setting the 'To' month to the month that you want it to end. This will be the month that the last response was entered (so we don't delete it).

This will allow us to draw a line in the sand, so that moving forward we apply a different Business Unit assignment

2️⃣ Add a new Question Period and in the Override Business Units field, you can select the Business Units that you would like to respond to this Question moving Forward.

Enter the relevant Frequency that will apply moving forward. In our example we are updating the Business Units assigned, and while we do that, we would also like to update the Frequency

So, the 'From' date will be after the end of the previous Period and the 'To' date will be when you want to stop asking this question to your Business Units.
